Copper Coated Gouging Welding Electrode

Gouging carbon rods are used for metal removal at fast rates with low power consumption. Generally used to remove welding defects, excess welds and foundry risersfrom cast products. Our carbon gouging rods are precisely machined and manufactured in state of the art facilities.

Pointed Round Copper Coated Gouging Electrode

Pointed gouging carbon rods are energy efficient and cost competitive, some operatore prefer these rods due to the positive holding of a gouging rod in the electrode holder leading to less splatter in manual applications.

Helpful Hints When calculating electrode consumption the following information could be helpful: For every inch of carbon consumed the user will get 8’’ of groove when making a gouge that is equal in depth to the diameter of the carbon. The gouge with will be about 1/8 width than the diameter of the carbon electrode being used. When using POINTED gouging carbons, the user will have about 3 inches of the stub loss.
